What's UP?
The Unleashing Potential (UP) Foundation is a private funding entity that provides financial grants and forgivable loans of various amounts to individuals and/or organizational leaders with extraordinary potential.
The UP Foundation sponsors specific projects or program initiatives taken on by 501(c)(3) organizations that have far-reaching effects in addressing issues that will benefit individuals and communities in the New York City area and beyond.
Money is not always the answer, but it can be instrumental in unleashing potential.
Eligibility
UP funding is available primarily for established 501(c)(3) organizations that serve People of Color (POC) in the New York City area. These individuals or organizations have demonstrated their potential to address critical issues in their communities and are seeking funding for a specific project, program, or initiative.
Individuals or organizations registered as 501(c)(3)'s seeking financial support can be nominated by clients, colleagues, or themselves using the form on this site.
With commitment to an idea, tenacity, and a sense of practicality, potential can be limitless!
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; Grants are distributed in February of each year. Learn More.
